Video transcript:
Hello,
I have created this video as an announcement of the change to come next year regarding your delta dental coverage. We have spoken to many of you already this year since June as you come into your visit.
InStyle Dental was created in 2003 on the foundation of the relationships that we built throughout the years. We love and appreciate all of you that chose our office for your dental care. We have been a Delta Dental provider ever since our inception.
In September of last year, we received a letter from Delta Dental that they will further be restricting their reimbursement and subsequently lowering the reimbursement rates. It is baffling to me that in the 20 years of my practice, the reimbursement rate is now less than what it was when I first started.
Our service, the material and technology that we use have improved significantly over the years. Unfortunately, the insurance reimbursements have not kept up proportionately on their end.
We want to inform you in advance of our intention to change the status with Delta Dental Insurance. Due to the rising costs of providing dental care and the limited fees they pay, we can no longer afford to provide treatment at their rates. It was not an easy decision to make for us, but a necessary one. We are not going to compromise your dental care by cutting corners or use inferior materials that fit into those reimbursement rates.
Therefore, effective January 1st, 2024 we will no longer be an in-network status with Delta Dental.
What does this mean: We can still see you, and file the paperwork- insurance claims for you, at no additional charge.
However, you will be responsible for any differences that is not covered.
In addition, Delta now requires that the check be sent to you personally and not to the office.
This will mean that the cost of treatment will need to be taken care of, in full, at the time of treatment.
Please understand that we are terminating our in-network status with Delta Dental, not you.
Our relationship with patients, like you, is the foundation of our success.
We want to be very clear that we are still able to see you and continue to provide the same treatment and services to which you have become accustomed.
On behalf of our team, Dr. Park, Dr. Kim, Dr. Morcos, and myself, our fondest hope is that you and your loved ones continue to appreciate the quality of care provided for you and that you will continue to see us for all your dental desires.
Please do not hesitate to give us a call should you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you.
